About the House

The home has approximately 2800 square feet of living area with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an office/library off of the Master Bedroom.  It has a large kitchen with breakfast area, a formal dining room attached to the living room, and a cozy den with a wood-burning stove. The wrap-around covered redwood porch is approximately 1800 square feet with solid clear heart redwood railings (the redwood railing material was harvested in the 1950’s and custom milled for this house.)  The house features a 3+ car garage, two shop areas with a half-bath, and a covered vehicle parking area under the back deck-- approximately 2000 square feet of space.

The house was designed and built by the owner with no expenses spared as to hours of labor (over 5 years) or the quality of materials and finish of the workmanship and materials used.  The exterior walls are all 2x6 construction with R-19 insulation, the attic is R-50 insulation, all interior walls, floors and ceilings are also insulated. The interior walls and ceilings are all finished with 5/8” sheetrock being installed with screws (no nails) and all bedroom doors are solid core fire rated.  The home was designed to have one-hour fire restive construction through-out. All windows are double pane Anderson windows. All wood beams, door casings, window sills are hand rubbed oak. The trim around all doors, windows and baseboards was also custom designed with a hand rubbed oil finish. The front door was custom made solid oak being 7 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide with stain glass.  The staircase, trim, and railings are also custom designed and finished.

All kitchen and bathroom cabinets are custom made by “Fieldstone”, again no expense was spared in the design and quality.

The entry area, living room, dining area and den all have real 3/4 inch solid red oak flooring.

The home will be sold with many furnishings being: an Ethan Allen inlaid mahogany dining table with 10 Italian carved leather chairs; Ethan Allen corner cabinets in dining room; wall display case in living room; an exquisite master bedroom set; plus an antique bedroom set in one room along with other antique furnishings.
